He was the son of King Peacecraft and the brother of Relena Peacecraft of the Sanc Kingdom. He wore a mask to conceal his identity while in the OZ organizaiton and is sometimes referred to as the "Lightning Count" by the Oz soldiers for his skill in battle. He has given up the right to rule the Sanc Kingdom because of his violent past. He even says that he shouldn't be the ruler of the Sanc Kingdom because he has "Too much blood on my hands". He regards Heero as a worthy adversary and at one point rebuilds the destroyed Wing Gundam so that they may again battle. But, when that day came, Heero used the Heavyarms instead. Zechs is a strong, smart pilot who always thinks out situations before acting. He is also the only person who has ever mastered the Tallgeese. Note: Most of Zechs motives are revealed in episode 46.
